Surgery tomorrow!

After a full year of planning, my surgery is almost here! The hospital called today and told me to arrive at 8:30am tomorrow. I'm terrified and excited and anxious and emotional all at the same time, but I'm ready to get this over with. I'm sick of constantly thinking about jaw surgery and getting jitters in the pit of my stomach.

Below are some "before" photos. I've been feeling rather sentimental about my face for the last few weeks, but looking at pictures of myself reminds me of all the aesthetic benefits of surgery that I can look forward to. One thing to note is that my teeth are touching in all of these pictures, even the last two where my face is relaxed. I think being able to close my mouth without forcing my lips to touch is one of the things I'm most looking forward to after surgery! Plus, it's good for me to remember the main reason for why I'm having jaw surgery in the first place: to fix my bite and save my molars!
